God Tells Us To Show Brotherly Kindness To Others
1 Thessalonians 4:9. Brotherly kindness and love comes from the Greek word “philadelphia”. It means kindness or friendship. The Bible teaches us that Christians must learn to have brotherly kindness toward others. We should treat everyone as we would treat our own kin or brother. We should show this brotherly kindness to others even if they are not a Christian brethren or even if they hate us.
Jesus Desires Everyone to be a Christian Brethren
Matthew 23:8. Christian brethren is not meant to be an exclusive club. If you are a Christian that does not make you better than anyone else. It only means that you have accepted Jesus' free offer for Him to be your Lord and Savior. Everyone can be a Christian brethren and receive eternal life. The only thing that a Christian brethren has done is accepted God's loving mercy of eternal life. God desires for all of us to be Christian brethren who are in fellowship with God.
Knowledge Is Not To Be Despised over Imagination
Proverbs 1:7. Someone that uses their imagination and has no knowledge is a fool. God is the source of all knowledge while imagination comes from the minds of man. Imagination without the knowledge of God leads to disobedience, sin, and eventual eternal death (Hell). God's knowledge enables us to make right choices that line up with the Word of God and eternal life. With the knowledge of God we can fulfill our Creator's purpose. Imagination is a gift of God, but it must be grounded in knowledge and wisdom that comes from God.
Nature versus Nurture – God gives us the ability to nurture people in God’s truth
Ephesians 6:4. In discussions of nature versus nurture, many think that either our genes or our environment, or both, are the driving factors that govern our actions. In fact, God is the guiding light in this world. He has given us His Word to guide our actions and to nurture others in God’s Word. God supersedes our human nature and our environment in guiding our actions. God may have given us free choice, but He provides us the saving truth to know what is right and wrong. That saving truth is the Bible.
Christian Definition Of Compassion - Compassionate For Those That Are Lost
Mark 6:34. The definition of compassion includes having compassion for people that are lost. God has compassion for people that are lost. Jesus showed this compassion when His heart reached out to people that were lost. Jesus saw that so many people were lost because they did not have God's truth in them.
Nurture Children A Child Through Discipline
Ephesians 6:4. Child discipline is done to nurture and correct a child's behavior. We must communicate to the child why he is being discipline. If we provoke them to a state of anger and wrath, we are no longer nurturing the child (Ephesians 6:4, "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord").
BIBLE SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 6:4, "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."
