WAR AGAINST THE DEVIL'S LIES. HE IS THE FATHER OF LIES
1st Timothy 2:4. Many of us ask what God’s will is for our lives. What pleases God? What does he find good and acceptable?
WHEN AN ANNOYING TRUTH MAKES US ANGRY
THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES US TRUTH
The survey on Is There Such a Thing as Absolute Truth? highlights how quickly we can forget what is true and what is not. From a Christian perspective, there is absolute truth, and it comes from God. Relativism denies absolute truth, and thus denies God and his son, Jesus Christ. See James Dobson comments below in regard to a recent Barna survey on "What Americans Believe".
The illustration of The Pastor's Test highlights how we all can get caught up in relativism. Most of us when it comes to religion make choices based on preferences and not based on what is right or what is true. When it comes to our faith, we should not be choosing our faith based on our likes and dislikes. We need to base our faith on what is true.
Romans 12:17. Another Biblical principle for businesses is to be honest in all business dealings. Honesty in business means no false advertising. It means selling products and services that provide value to the customer. A business should never knowingly sell inferior goods or services that may harm the customer.
Proverbs 16:6. It is godly fear that enables us to depart from evil and the terrible effects of sin. Because of our sin nature that we inherited from our forefathers beginning with Adam and Eve, we all are in danger of the deadly effects of sin. Many of us, the unsaved, do not realize the terrible consequences of sin nor that there is a Savior that can deliver us from this curse.
