Bible Summary. The Bible is rich with examples where mankind will call evil good. We call evil good for many reasons. We do it to scam people. We call evil good to seek self-gratification without the constraint of God's truth. We do it in the hope of false promises. We call evil good to obtain ill-gotten gains through intimidation, deceit, or scams.

Isaiah 5:20. It is so tempting to call something evil good, but in the end it will end in calamity and God's judgment. Isaiah 5:20 says, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" We must seek God's truth in everything we do.

Romans 1:31. From a Christian perspective, good values are valuing the things of God. A lack of good values is a sign of having unbelief in God. Godly values are spiritual things such as love, truth, righteousness, and goodness to name a few. When we love material things over the things of God, we are lacking in good values. We have unbelief in God.

Romans 1:25. It is usually the wise that get caught up in the nature vs nurture debate. But in reality we are fools if we take a strong position on either side of this debate (Romans 1:22, “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools”).

Romans 1:25. Many of us may worship God for a season, but then we make wrong choices by putting other things above God. When we lust and worship things above God, we are basically idol worshiping. God made it part our human nature to worship. The problem is that instead of worshiping God we will worship the other woman, our job, our car, or even ourselves.

John 8:44. You can know God, but still be separated from God. Besides knowing God, God expects you to act on His truth (Titus 1:16, "They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.").

Romans 1:25. Our sin nature continues to ask the question, is there a God, because we want to be disobedient to God. We desire to be wise and define what is right and wrong (Romans 1:22, "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools").

James 3:14. How can you fix a bad relationship when envy is in your heart?

Revelation 21:8. The third type of death is Eternal death. Eternal death is eternal separation from God. If we have not accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we will face death that is eternal on Judgment Day. Eternal death happens because man chooses sin (disobedience to God), and thus, we choose to be separated from God.

Job 27:8. Another aspect of the definition of deception is that it is only temporary. A deception is only a deception until it is found out. It is temporary. On the other hand, truth is eternal. Many of us use deception to fool others as well as ourselves. Most of us put our hope in material things such as money, other people, or our own abilities.
