The Holy Spirit

Who is the Holy Spirit – He is the Comforter.

The Holy Spirit is foremost a divine comforter to Christians. After Jesus’ ministry on Earth, the Holy Spirit was sent to comfort Christians. As the Comforter and the divine Spirit of Truth, he continues today to bear witness of Jesus and anoint Christians to spread the gospel. John 15:26 advises us of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter.

John 15:26, “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:”

Who is the Holy Spirit – He is the Spirit of Truth.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. As Christians, the Holy Spirit resides in us to comfort us, to guide us, and to be the Spirit of Truth in our lives. The Holy Spirit enables us to discern what is true and what is not. John 14:17 advises us of the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Truth.

John 14:17, “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”


Who is the Holy Spirit – Your Guide in Speech and Action.

The Holy Spirit is on this Earth to guide us in speech and action. All we need to do is to yield to the Holy Spirit. He will give us the words and actions for any given situation. Matthew 10:20 advises us of the Holy Spirit as a guide in our lives.

Matthew 10:20, “For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.”
